Reservation Policy/Travel Insurance
A last-minute cancellation or date change gives us little chance of filling the space due to our remote location. For this reason, we uphold a strict deposit and cancellation policy. Should it be necessary for you to depart earlier or arrive later than your confirmed dates, you will be responsible for the original reserved room nights of your intended stay. TK Glamping highly recommends purchasing trip insurance from your local travel agent, your credit card or your insurance provider.
Children
TK is an adult only accommodation. Exceptions are made when special groups reserve the entire accommodation block of tents.
Special Group Rates
Enjoy special group rates when reserving a block of accommodations for an event, meeting, wedding or family reunion. Be sure to inquire on group rates in the off-season spring and fall by contacting TK Glamping directly. High season of summer gets booked early and usually requires 6 to 12 months prior planning.
Pet Policy
Pets are not allowed onsite. TK is located on a wildlife corridor where some animals are attracted to domestic pets. Unfortunately, we can not ensure the safety of your pet.
Third Party Activities
Upon request, TK will book your third-party activity based on third-party availabilities. A fee of $20.00 per booking will be added to your final invoice. Third-party activities operate separately from TK Glamping and will charge participants directly. All cancellations require 24-hour advance notice prior to activity start time. All cancellations made within 24 hours, including “no shows,” will be charged full activity price. Guests will not be charged for activities canceled by extreme weather or unavoidable conditions.
Dining
All night rates include daily breakfast. Lunch and dinners are not included but picnic lunches are available upon request and charged accordingly. Guests have the option to prepare their own meals and use TK’s cooking & dining facility. Food storage containers are available and are kept in a secured food safe area. No food items should be kept over night within your tent. Local wildlife may be attracted to the smell of food. Several other dining options are within a 3-to-15-minute drive of TK’s site. Water coolers are included inside each tent and checked daily. TK is not licensed to sell alcohol. Guests are allowed to bring their own alcohol in and around their private glamping sites.
Special Event Dining Policy
TK Glamping does not provide facilities for special events. All venue rentals will be asked to organize their own event requirements for example; catering, dining tables/chairs, event tents, flowers, etc. To experience these events to their fullest, we invite guests to assess TK’s site and plan accordingly. We encourage you to call and make an appointment. The privacy of our guests is a priority.
Transportation Services
Upon request TK staff will book third-party driving services. Within the Greater Vernon area there are many tours, events, adventures and activities to explore. TK will also provide private tours away from the sometimes-overcrowded commercial tours. Rates will vary pending duration and distance.
Resort Fees
There is not an overall resort fee. Gratuities are not included. Our staff is dedicated to ensuring that you have a memorable vacation. If you’d like to recognize exemplary service, a kind note, a review on social media or a “thank you” is always appreciated but never expected. We look forward to serving you!
Taxes
A 11% British Columbia state lodging tax is usually applied to the nightly room rate. Since TK operates on Indigenous lands there are no sales taxes collected. Sales tax do apply to onsite food, beverages, wellness services and special event rentals.
Deposit Policy
For a guarantee of a reservation of a two (2 night or more) accommodation, a deposit equal to the first nights stay is required. The remaining accommodation and any other outstanding balances will be collected upon departure, including tax and additional fees. Reservations for accommodations made within 7 days prior to arrival require full payment at the time of booking excluding tax and additional fees which will be collected upon departure.
Cancellation Policy
All reservations of accommodations are subject to a 14-day cancellation policy. Cancellation notification must occur at least 14 days prior to your arrival date to receive a partially refunded deposit. If you must cancel your reservation, we will refund your deposit, less a transaction fee equal to 20% of the deposit amount. Cancellation notifications made within 30 days of arrival are ineligible for a full refund. No refunds will be issued for the cancellation or portion of a reserved stay made within 3 days of arrival.
Excessive Behavior Policy
TK’s business model focuses on offering a unique outdoor accommodation that allow guests to experience a “back to nature” “re-energizing” and “private” stay. Our overnight guests are asked to follow our guidelines and respect other guests stay. Excessive drinking, loud partying and general misbehavior is not tolerated. Excessive Behavior will result in a first-time warning and second time immediate removal. Prior to booking we ask you understand our business model. We want your stay to be enjoyable and memorable. Quiet time begins at 10pm, lights out is up to you.
